SIEGE MODE

In the event of suspicious activity on a specific article, Civil Comments will automatically move the article into Siege Mode. Commenters with a history of posting approved comments on the site will be able to continue to contribute as before, with no visible change. Newcomers, or commenters with a history of posting inappropriate comments will see the comment form replaced with a message explaining they'll need to raise their Civility Score before commenting on this particular article.

To manually move an article in or out of Siege Mode, use the Articles tab to locate the article, then set Siege Mode to "off".
